Nova Scotia Day 12

Today was a rest day. We’re in Placentia, Newfoundland in the Bridgeway Hotel.  Comfortable beds and very nice owners. Last night talked with Norman Jones, added Karl today and a few others. Karl has some beautiful cars. RAll restored… 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible,  73 Cuda, 2017 6.2L Camaro convertible.  Went to dinner with the guys and Norman joined us.

This morning we left to go around 40 miles down the coast to a place birds breed. Late in the season but still a lot of birds! St Mary’s Cape. Darryl’s day was made as there was also a Lighthouse too. Sunny and around 50°F. Windy on the cape. Hands out to take pics got cold fast. Nice ride there and back. I went down to the lobby to figure out and learn to edit better.  Small hotel and we had met half the people so they talked with me so I wasn’t getting much done. Then Mary came out and we chatted and I learned about the hotel history and the area. She went home for the day and I got down to learning.

I learned what I couldn’t do! I can’t put music that I purchased on Amazon music on a video as you can only use it on the app. I researched how I could purchase music in MP3 format.  Not a lot of choices and the Qobuz.com wasn’t working. Frustrating to say the least.  Came back from Mary Brown Chicken restaurant and tried again.  Nope…

I recorded our ride down the south coast of Newfoundland in 20 minute chunks. Was planning on posting it with music so you could go for a ridecalong the coast with us.

I’ll keep working on it. I can do it on Gopro quik but then it’s some random music copyright free.

Pics of the day from me, Mike, Darryl and maybe Scott.  Scott went hiking today

Think Mike took this one down the coast
I wanted to go by the town square in Placentia and I rode past this thinking that I needed to take a picture.  I looked in the mirror and saw Mike did stop

I was telling Darryl… Don’t fall but if you do I will have it on film! Mike took the photo from a distance.

From yesterday after walking up from the shore… in full gear… whew!

Think Darryl took this one
Kept my gear on as it was to cold to take it off. In the 40’s and windy.
Definitely a hazard. You could be close and a gust of wind could blow you over! The grass was so thick and spongy underfoot you had to be careful.
Yesterday at Cape Spear in front of one of the old WW2 Bunkers. Gun down in front of Scott inside the wooden rails.

Loved the town shots. Tell Scott the boats were amazing. A number of pictures did not come through but their comments did. Just letting you know. I am truly enjoying following you guys. Note.. no foodie pics? LOL. Surely you did not go on a fast. D

  2. not much to choose from here. Mary Brown’s Chicken was ok but not worthy of taking a pic of. Was good but kinda like KFC. DARRYL said it was better than KFC
