Trip to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia Day 3

Easy day today as we only did around 200 miles.

Day started out with clouds and 55°F but by noon clouds were gone sunny with a cool wind. Had a sweater on and my vents closed until 2 pm at our lunch. Stripped the sweater off but left the vents closed. Had a very enjoyable time eating out on the veranda sitting in the sun with the wind keeping it on the cooler side. We rode down to Stowe and went through Smugglers Notch and then just wandered around seeing pretty country. Trees are starting to turn colors and drop leaves in the upper elevations. Just starting Nature’s fall show.

State Capital Building
I had the crew pull into this place. I was falling asleep as all the speed limits are 35 to 45… once in a while they get to 50! I had to walk a bit and wake up.
My steak and shrimp fajitas
Scott’s street tacos
Darryl had another salad. 3rd day in a row for a man who says he doesn’t care for salads.
Mike’s Nachos and cheese
Somehow Mike got stuck in his jacket.  Don’t know what happened but I had to get the camera out b4 I helped… Scott took pity on him though!

Finally wandered around to Montpelier which is Vermont’s capital.  Had lunch at Julio’s Cantina. One word… Delicious… we all loved what we ordered.

We ended up in St Johnsbury.  Didn’t need much for dinner after that lunch. Went up town to a deli and they made me a good Ruben sandwich.  I bought 2 pints of Ben and Jerry’s.  One for me and one for Mike. Now I know everything is more expensive up here in the New England states but I thought $34 was a bit expensive.

Last night’s motel was slow internet and nothing really uploaded.  So I got one or two from yesterday  and some from Utah back in October of 2024
