Last night I was going to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3. But Scott hadn’t seen any of them. So not to lose him we went back and watched number 1. He said he would most likely fall asleep during the movie but he was awake at the end and he enjoyed it. He asked if number 2 was as good. Yes, it is. So he may watch it.
This morning Scott loaded up and said goodbye and headed to the BMW shop to get his panniers re-keyed to work with his new bike key. He texted me and said it was gettidone slowly.
I pulled the rear rim and tire off the Tenere as I had a new MotoZ Tractionator GPS tire sent to here. I took the rear tire/rim to Everett Power Sports. I pulled in and thought… I’ve been here before!??
When I was at the service counter the guy said you probably haven’t been here before. No, I think I have. I think I bought a bolt here for my CBR 5 yrs ago. He looked up my last name… Guy? Yep! Ok, when do you need your tire back? Well, I am here until it is done as I am on the road. Ok, I’ll see what I can do. He got it done! While the tech was doing it the service rep and I talked. He said… if you own a Goldwing and a CBR then you have to go upstairs! Ok, up I go… I think I found my next Goldwing, um CBR ???
Got home and put the new tireand rim on. Put my removed tire on the back seat for a spare. All good. Turned the bike around and removed the fork protectors and pried the dust seals down and cleaned the seals/forks with a rag then got out the tool to actually get up inside my seals and remove possible crud that is letting it leak. Got some out on both sides. All back together and I will be looking closely for leakage in the next few riding days. If no leakage then I’ll remove the calipers and clean them and the rotors and install new pads… which I have in my pannier.
Have a relaxing evening with family planned.
